Pain Basics Center

Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage. It is often accompanied by other symptoms, such as fatigue. The physiological and psychological aspects of pain vary among individuals. Some people are overly sensitive to stimulus (hyperpathia) while others may feel usually non-painful events as pain (allodynia).
